Independent TDs express opposition to Bush visit
A group of independent TDs have added their voices to a growing chorus of opposition to the visit of US President George W Bush.
Mr Bush is due to arrive in Co Clare on Friday night for an EU-US summit in Dromoland Castle the following day.
Thousands of demonstrators are expected to protest against the visit.
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Peace and Neutrality Alliance today, independent TD Finian McGrath urged people to support the protests.
"It’s essential that the Irish people put on record their total anger and dismay at the Bush administration," he said.
