Adams meets with Finucane inquiry leader
Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has held his first ever meeting with the British police officer leading the investigation into the murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.
Mr Adams met with John Stevens at a hotel in London last night. Sinn Féin said he told Mr Stevens he believed the British government was deliberately using his investigation and related court proceedings to delay the holding of a public inquiry into Mr Finucane’s murder.
