Workers 'win with new pay deal'

The Government’s economic strategy and the new national pay deal is a win-win situation for workers, finance minister Charlie McCreevy claimed today.

The minister said the phased pay hike over 18 months totalling 5.5% was estimated to be above expected inflation rates in the coming year.
