Delayed local election polls open in Roscommon

Polls opened this morning in Roscommon for a local election that had been delayed after the death of a sitting councillor just days before the June 11 polling day.

The voting in the Mid-Roscommon electoral area was postponed by a week after the death of sitting Fine Gael councillor, Gerry Donnelly.
