NSC issues safety advice for barbecues

The National Safety Council has reminded people to take food safety precautions when eating outdoors this summer.

The council said should ensure that the site chosen for barbecues is not close to overhanging branches or combustible materials and to ensure that the cook does not wear loose clothes that are at risk of catching fire.
