Tánaiste urged to investigate Irish role in Israeli barrier
Amnesty International has demanded that the Tánaiste investigate an Irish company’s alleged role in the construction of Israel’s so-called “security barrier".
The barrier, which has been condemned by the international community, is being constructed exclusively on Palestinian land inside the West Bank.
It cuts deep inside the occupied territory and divides thousands of Palestinians from their farms, schools and hospitals.
Amnesty International said the Irish firm Cement Roadstone Holdings had a 25% stake in the company supplying materials for the barrier.
