Ahern signals cabinet reshuffle after election disaster

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has insisted that he will lead Fianna Fáil into the next general election, despite the party’s losses in Friday’s local election.

Mr Ahern also said today that he was planning a major cabinet reshuffle in September following the poor result.
