Joyce fans treated to free breakfast
Dublin's O'Connell Street has been transformed into a picnic area this morning, with thousands of free breakfasts being given away.
Thousands of breakfast rolls with sausages, rashers, pudding and hash browns are to be given away between 9am and 12 noon.
The free meal is part of the ReJoyce Dublin festival to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Bloomsday, to commemorate Leopold Bloom's famous morning meal in James Joyce's Ulysees.
This is the first public event to take place on the newly refurbished street, and O'Connell Street will remain closed to vehicular traffic until 12.30pm.
