Teenager hurt in crossbow attack
A teenager was struck in the back with a crossbow bolt fired at him in Portadown, Co Armagh early today.
The youngster and his brother, both in their early teens, were in Churchill Park in the Ballyoran Park area when they were attacked by four men at around 1am, said police.
One youth was shot in the back with the crossbow and the other was beaten with sticks.
The brothers were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening, the police spokesman said.
The men responsible are all in their late 20s or early 30s, said police. Three had been identified and officers were seeking to identify the fourth – in his late 29s, stockily built with dark hair and moustache.
