Bombs thrown at police in clashes
Police were attacked with petrol bombs during overnight violence in Derry.
Three devices were thrown at officers as they tried to quell fighting in the Irish Street area of the city. A paint bomb was also launched at the security forces.
No injuries were reported during the disturbances, which lasted for around five hours, but a tree was also knocked down by troublemakers to block a main road.
The area was later reported calm after police reinforcements were brought in.
