ERHA reports overcrowding in hospitals

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has asked people not to visit accident and emergency departments in eastern hospitals unless absolutely necessary.

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has asked people not to visit accident and emergency departments in eastern hospitals unless absolutely necessary.

The ERHA said hospitals in the eastern region were extremely busy and overcrowded today following the bank holiday weekend.

It said people who are not seriously ill should visit their local GP instead of going to A&E departments.
