Harney: Insurance reform to benefit accident victims

A watershed in reform of the insurance sector is not designed to penalise lawyers, Tánaiste Mary Harney claimed today.

The Personal Injuries Assessment Board, which comes into operation at midnight tonight, will reduce the need for costly court cases encouraging the quick settlement of injury claims.
