IBOA seeks independent forum on banking ethics

The Irish Bank Officials Association has called on the Government to establish an independent forum to review banking ethics in the wake of a string of scandals at AIB.

The bank admitted yesterday that a number of senior executives had breached tax laws by hiding money in certain investment schemes.
