Gardaí probe crane-lorry theft
Gardaí were tonight searching for a stolen ESB lorry with an attached crane which they believe may have been stolen for use in criminal activity.
The distinctive yellow vehicle emblazoned with an ESB logo was stolen from a company yard on Parnell Road, Dublin.
A Garda spokesman said officers from Sundrive Road Station were seeking the expensive Renault Midliner vehicle.
“This lorry is valued at €100,000 and may have been stolen with a specific criminal purpose in mind,” he added.
The truck has been missing since it was stolen from an ESB yard on Parnell Road during the night of Friday May 21.
