HSA calls for extra vigilance in workplace safety

The Health and Safety Authority has called for increased vigilance in the workplace, and especially on farms.

Two people were killed in agricultural accidents yesterday, while a third person died in an industrial incident.

The HAS has described the incidents as a black day for workplace health and safety. A spokesperson said that, with an increase in activity in high-risk industry at this time of year, suitable safety precautions must be taken.
