Mob attacks Derry police patrol, injuring three officers

Three police officers have been injured following an attack on a patrol in Derry in the early hours of this morning.

The officers were set upon by a crowd of 30 to 40 people, after intervening in an attack on a man in Waterloo Place in the city at around 3am.

They were injured when the crowd threw bricks and bottles at the patrol.

Three people have been arrested for disorderly behaviour.
