Two held in Dundalk Christmas death probe
Gardaí were questioning two people tonight in connection with the murder of Laurence Garvey, beaten to death in Dundalk town last Christmas.
A man in his 30s and a 32-year-old woman were being questioned in Dundalk Garda Station about the 59-year-old’s death.
Mr Garvey died early on Christmas Eve morning after receiving serious head injuries.
The married man was assaulted by a man in Patrick Street close to the town centre just after midnight.
The pair were still being held for questioning under section four of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
