The South Eastern Health Board has confirmed that a shower-head at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny was the probable source of an outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease at the hospital earlier this year.

The South Eastern Health Board has confirmed that a shower-head at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny was the probable source of an outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease at the hospital earlier this year.

An elderly man who is still being treated at the hospital was diagnosed with the illness at the end of March.
