A legal challenge to the construction of a hazardous waste incinerator in Cork Harbour has been adjourned for three weeks by the High Court in Dublin.

Eleven residents of the Ringaskiddy area are seeking leave to appeal An Bórd Pleanála’s decision to approve the project against the advice of a senior planning inspector.

Indaver Ireland was granted permission to construct the incinerator despite the inspector’s advice that the scheme be rejected on 14 separate grounds.
