The Irish Postmasters Union has vowed to ballot its members on industrial action unless An Post withdraws a legal threat against certain postmasters by tomorrow.

The company has threatened to instigate legal action against 49 postmasters who refused to open their post offices on Easter Saturday, which management said was in breach of their contracts.
