Funeral to take place of Air Corps pilot

The funeral is taking place of the Air Corp pilot who died in a plane crash on Thursday.

Raymond Heery was taking off from Clonbollgue airfield in Co Offaly when his Cessna plane crashed.

The 22-year-old was returning to Baldonnell aerodrome in Dublin after transporting pilots to a parachute training course.

His funeral mass and burial is taking place at St Brigid’s Church in Ballincree, Co Meath.
