Harsh clashes as Israel accuses EU of bias
Israel accused the European Union of siding with Arabs in the Mideast conflict in harsh exchanges at a meeting in Dublin today intended to promote peace.
EU officials said the charge by Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom reflected his own opposition to an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza strip – an issue Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon is considering.
