Fire officers to learn of ‘business continuity management’

The concept of "business continuity management" is due to be introduced to members of the Chief Fire Officers Association at its annual conference in Wexford today.

The system is designed to reduce the risk of companies going out of business if they suffer losses due to disasters like fires or floods.

Risk management experts claim 40% of firms that experience such disasters go out of business within five years.
