McKevitt rejects terms of release for mother’s funeral

Jailed Real IRA leader Michael McKevitt has reportedly rejected the terms under which the authorities at Portlaoise Prison were prepared to release him for his mother’s funeral today.

Eighty-six-year-old Ellen McKevitt, who had been ill for some time, died this week and is due to be buried today in Dundalk, Co Louth.
