Cranberries nanny faces massive legal bill
The former nanny of Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan was today facing a massive legal bill after losing her case against the singer and her husband Don Burton in Dublin’s High Court.
Joy Fahy, 34, was ordered to pay the High Court costs for both parties.
She had sued for breach of contract and alleged false imprisonment during her short time of employment looking after their baby son in 1999.
Miss Fahy, from Batterstown, Co Meath, was awarded €1,500 for the loss of clothing and personal belongings when her term of employment ended.
Justice Jonathan Quirke awarded her a small consolation in the form of District Court costs for the minor claim she won, estimated to be in the region of €500.
It is estimated she now faces a legal bill of at least €300,000.
