BNFL get go-ahead to reduce by-product discharge

British Nuclear Fuels Ltd has been granted permission to implement a new process designed to reduce discharges into the Irish Sea by the Sellafield nuclear plant.

The decision to implement the process follows a successful trial carried out at the plant at the end of last year.
