Iarnród Eireann invests in western platforms

Iarnród Eireann is to invest €660,000 in platform extension works at stations in Carrick-on-Shannon Co Leitrim and Ballymote, Co Sligo.

The new platforms will allow both rail stations to handle extra trains and more frequent services on the Dublin-Sligo route.
