Cork group to appeal incinerator decision
A group of activists from the Cork Harbour area are due to seek permission today to launch a legal challenge against a planned hazardous waste incinerator in Ringaskiddy.
The 11 local residents will ask the High Court for leave to appeal An Bord Pleanála's decision to approve the controversial incinerator project against the advice of a senior planning inspector.
Indaver Ireland was granted permission to build the incinerator despite the inspector advising that the scheme be rejected on 14 grounds.
