Dublin/Monaghan inquest to get underway later this month

The Dublin City Coroner has set April 27 as the date for the beginning of the inquest into the deaths of the Dublin and Monaghan bombing victims.

Dr Brian Farrell said the inquest would get underway on April 27 with testimony from the victims’ relatives.

More than 130 witnesses are expected to take the stand during the inquest.

Thirty-three people and an unborn baby died when loyalist paramilitaries detonated three car bombs in Dublin and one in Monaghan on May 17, 1974.
