Fraud hotline gets 3,000 calls

An insurance fraud hotline established by the Irish Insurance Federation last year has received more than 3,000 calls since its inception, according to figures released today.

The IIF said the calls to the hotline led to 1,500 cases of suspected fraud being reported to the authorities.
