Ex-garda to attend sex offenders' institute

A former garda officer who has admitted possessing child pornography is to spend four months in a sex offenders' institute, it emerged today.

Garda Conor Brough, who served more than 20 years with the force, had previously pleaded guilty to possessing 23 offensive images.
