Sigma Wireless signs €3.5m contract with Orange France

Dublin-based Sigma Wireless Technologies has signed a €3.5m contract with mobile phone operator, Orange France, to provide the company with the latest triple-band antenna system.

The deal is likely to lead to the expansion of the Finglas plant and an increase in the workforce, which currently stands at 500.

The new technology can cater for existing 2G phones, while facilitating the next generation of network requirements.

Orange operators in Belgium, Denmark, France and the UK will carry it.
