French antitrust authorities slapped record fines on the country’s three mobile operators today after a four-year investigation found that Orange, SFR and Bouygues illegally shared sales data and conspired to undermine competition.

Dublin-based Sigma Wireless Technologies has signed a €3.5m contract with mobile phone operator, Orange France, to provide the company with the latest triple-band antenna system.

Orange has selected Nokia and Alcatel to develop its UMTS network in France, while Nokia and Ericsson will work on the German network - enabling wireless access to a mixture of voice and multimedia services.
