Swimmers urged to take care over weekend

Safety experts are warning about the increased risk of water-related tragedies this weekend.

Many more people are expected to take up water activities over the bank holiday and it is feared that this will lead to more drownings.

Fifteen people drown every month in Ireland and the Chief Executive of Irish Water Safety, Frank Nolan, is advising extra care.
