Dublin/Monaghan bombs: Taoiseach vows to keep up pressure

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has vowed to continue pressing the British authorities to release files relating to the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has vowed to continue pressing the British authorities to release files relating to the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings.

Speaking at a conference in Dublin today, Mr Ahern said it was still unclear if all documents relating to the loyalists had been handed over.

He said the British government was insisting that all relevant files had been released, even though Judge Henry Barron, who conducted a private inquiry into the bombings, criticised the level of co-operation he received from London.
