Govt considering plans for alcohol-free zones in pubs

The Government is apparently considering plans to offer grants to publicans who introduce alcohol-free zones on their premises.

An inter-departmental working group is believed to be studying the proposals, which would form part of the Government’s efforts to tackle the culture of excessive drinking in Ireland.
