SDLP leader urges British govt not to censor Cory Report
SDLP leader Mark Durkan has called on the British government to publish the full Cory Report rather than a censored version of the document.
The report into four controversial murders in the North is due to be published this week, but sensitive sections are expected to be blacked out.
Mr Durkan said yesterday that he understands the need to protect the rights of people named in the document, but he said the families of the murder victims deserved to know the truth.
Mr Durkan also said any inquiries arising from the Cory Report must have full powers to compel persons and papers.
