Alleged collusion victims hold talks with Irish politicians

Representatives of families who lost relatives due to alleged collusion between the British security services and loyalist paramilitaries are due to meet TDs and senators this afternoon.

The group, An Fhírinne, mounted a protest outside the British Embassy in Dublin ahead of today’s talks.

Spokesman Brendan Curran said An Fhírinne believed the Irish authorities could do a lot to help the bereaved families.

“The [Irish] Government can bring pressure on the British government to tell the truth about what happened and admit the part that it had to play in colluding in the deaths of Irish people,” he said.
