Macra criticises failure to reduce driving test waiting lists
Macra na Feirme has criticised the Government’s failure to reduce waiting lists for driving tests.
The farming organisation said the average wait for a driving test in Ireland was more than 10 months and the time for action was long overdue.
Macra President Thomas Honner, who is due to discuss the matter with Transport Minister Seamus Brennan later today, claimed driving test delays are costing people on the waiting list more than €50m in extra insurance premiums by denying them a chance to obtain a full licence.
