The Department of the Environment has released figures that show over 1,300 Traveller families have been accommodated by or with the assistance of local authorities since the year 2000.

The Department of the Environment has released figures that show over 1,300 Traveller families have been accommodated by or with the assistance of local authorities since the year 2000.

The statistics also show the number of Traveller families on unauthorised sites fell from 1,207 at the end of 1999 to 788 families at the end of 2003.
