FG choose Euro candidates for east region

Television journalist Mairead Mc Guinness, and sitting MEP Avril Doyle will be Fine Gael candidates in the East electoral area in the forthcoming European elections.

They were chosen without a contest at the party's selection convention in Newbridge after Cllr Michael O'Dowd from Co Louth withdrew from the contest.
