Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness is to contest the General Election.

The European Commission has been accused of less than transparent dealing on the Common Agricultural Policy, especially because of “back-door” concessions to Britain.

Television journalist Mairead Mc Guinness, and sitting MEP Avril Doyle will be Fine Gael candidates in the East electoral area in the forthcoming European elections.
