Elderly woman dies in Galway house fire

An elderly woman has died in a house fire in Roundstone in Co Galway.

The 79-year-old was alone in her house in Roundstone when the blaze broke out before 8am today.

The alarm was raised by a neighbour.

Gardaí said that no one else was injured in the blaze and they are not treating the incident as suspicious.
