Orde says IRA, UDA behind punishment attacks

Northern Ireland’s chief constable Hugh Orde has accused the Provisional IRA and the UDA today of being behind many of the punishment beatings and shootings in the North.

This meant that the requirement of the Good Friday Agreement that all paramilitary activity should stop has not been met, said Mr Orde.
