McCreevy to chair EU finance ministers meeting

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy is due to chair a meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels today.

The meeting is expected to be dominated by a discussion of how to develop the “Lisbon agenda”, which is aimed at boosting economic progress in the EU and making the union the most knowledge-based economy in the world.
