Pharmaceutical society welcomes report

The pharmaceutical society of Ireland today welcomed the publication of the report of the pharmacy review group which makes 20 recommendations regarding the future practice of pharmacy in Ireland.

The recommendations include the urgent introduction of a new pharmacy act to regulate the profession.

However the Society said it is disappointed with the decision of the Minister not to confirm how and when he proposes to address these recommendations.
