Man in court over Dublin murder

A man appeared in court today charged with murdering a 43-year-old in a Dublin city centre pub.

Aidan Henigan (aged 34) was remanded in custody at Dublin’s District Court to appear again next week.

The victim, identified as Frank McCann, was fatally stabbed in a pub known as the Back Lounge on Exchange Street at around 11.30pm last night.

He was taken to St James’ Hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.
