Gardaí begin investigation after baby found

Gardaí in Dublin have began an investigation after the discovery of a newborn baby boy at Clanbrassil Street.

The baby has been taken to the Coombe hospital where he is believed to be in good health.

He was found in a bag by passers-by at lunchtime today.

Gardai are appealing for the mother of the child to contact them, as there are concerns for her health.
