Gardaí in Blanchardstown seek witnesses to road accident

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a 74-year-old was killed.

The woman has been named as Sheila McCarthy of Pinebrook View in Hartstown.

She died after being hit by a car while she was crossing the Hunstown road in West Dublin at around 9am.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area, particularly those waiting at the 39 bus stop, to contact Blanchardstown Station.
