The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, John O'Donoghue, today welcomed the positive figures for domestic tourism performance released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Figures disclosed in the CSO's household travel survey for the third quarter of 2003 show that for the first nine months of last year, Ireland experienced an increase of 3.4% in total domestic tourism trips over the same period in 2002.
